Just one week until the Federal Election…

Will the polls translate to Labor Ruddslide?

Will they narrow?

Will Rudd win the majority of votes but no seats like Kim Beazley?

Will the Coalition fight back?

It is going to be the most interesting Election in modern times. At least for me, I’m only 25 and can only remember only from the late 80s onward. But I can vididly remember the pain and sadness of getting pulverised in 96, 98, 01 and 04. The Goss State defeat was painful as well and I hope the Labor Party has learnt not to mess with koalas.

A Labor victory seems too good to be true and I’m sure alot of Labor Party members and operatives think the same thing, is this a dream and can this dream transgress into reality?

The Courier Mail reports that the Labor Party is keeping a tight rein on the activities of its candidates, taking a hardline approach to orchestrating things. Good on ‘em. We don’t want to blow it.

Labor sends candidates list of what to do and not to do

I think all us Labor Party supporters won’t believe it until November 25 or when we are in Parliament with a majority for once and with a speaker who can throw up Coalition MPs.

Oh the pain of the Communications Debate on SKY news. I have a new found absolute loathing for the Coalition Communications Minister Helen Coonan. She is a banshee.

She constantly interjected, talked over and blattered all over Labor Communcations Spokesman Stephen Conroy. She had absolutely no respect and she came off looking like a noisy tramp.

And David Speers should have put the choker chain on her, honestly he is the chair. She walked all over him and he not only allowed her to do it, he invited her to even more screen time to push her barrell after she constantly interupted Stephen’s opportunities to talk. You couldn’t hear Stephen talk for more than 10 seconds without hearing her snivel in the background.

It was even more painful television than watchin Alexander Downer. She really pains me and I can’t wait to see her get turfed out of government. Please let it happen!

Stephen was a bit rusty on the get go. He had to rely on notes in his opening address but when it came to questions he flowed well, attacked her in an appropriate manner, didn’t interrupt her and spoke eveningly and well.

I’m really fired up over Communications, because I’m not only a victim of out pathetic internet landscape but I am disgusted with what the Coalition has done with certain laws.

I’m sitting here like an idiot using dial up and I’m living in a metro area. It is a deadset disgrace and I dont know what to do, puke or laugh when Coonon says we have more advanced internet than the USA, Japan or Germany. BULLSHIT!

Even wireless in my area is dodgy as hell. But the cost of it far outstrips ADSL. It is all about the cost.

I am also disgusted with the abolishment of Cross Media Laws. I loved these laws because they protected media ownership and promoted deversity in media. There are few things I dislike more than media monopolies.

I thought it was tremendous that you couldn’t own a TV station, newspaper or radio station in the same market. So we don’t get fed the same bullshit from three different angles.

And don’t get me started on the foriegn ownership!!

I’m a loyal Dick Smith Foods consumer…join the dots.

T MINUS 7 DAYS!
