BRAD: TRENCH WARFARE
Sunday, November 11th, 2007
Only two weeks to go and this long saga will be over for better or worse. If Labor win it will be one of the greatest political victories in Australian history if they lose they will be remembered as bigger chokers than the Cronulla Sharks.
Once again me and Sheldon are at ground zero here in Brissie. With both the Labor Party and Liberal party holding their campaign launches in Brisbane this week. And with those launches we will undoubtedly see shifts in tactics from both parties.
Liberals - I have no idea what they will do, they have been clutching at straws for weeks. Every few days its a new strategy and sometimes John forgets to tell Peter and they spend half the day contradicting themselves. Their only hope is a two week long money fling or a Labor/Rudd/Union scandel.
Labor - Might be time to get the hands dirty in some trench warfare against Workchoices, putting it front and centre on the election radar. New figures out last week show that the laws aren’t just a nightmare for employees but a headache for employers as well. It’s time to take that angle hard so we can pincer lil Johnny. NEWS.COM.AU claims that Labor will tackle John Howard head on with internal research showing that his pending retirement mid term is weighing on voters. Maybe they can throw a few ads out there on the future Liberals leadership team, maybe Abbott and Costello? That would be popular!

Here I am reading the news websites and because I have to wear contact lenses and I hate wearing them, sometimes I get frights with headlines because I can’t read them properly. For instance I had a minor heart attack when I read…
Rudd offends Remberance Day service.
But it was actually.

PHEW!

Well I haven’t been able to post too often in the last few days.
Truth is I’m in more trouble than the Coalition government with 14 pieces of assessment due in the next 20 days. I do a business and sport management degree.
So I am scrambling like a crazy man. But I am hoping to have four out of the way by tomorrow…
But of course nothing on earth can keep me away from the papers, the radio and the television watching this election campaign unfold.
And it has been an eventful couple of days.

Ah damn it, doing all these assignements and exams is going to be like climbing Mount Everest….
