BRAD: THE MASTER PLAN

Well I am pretty happy with how things are playing out and over the moon that the $34 billion election bribe disguised as tax cuts has been welcomed damply by the electorate.

I have to admit I am surprised at the sheer scale of the level of support to see that money instead invested in AUSTRALIA, in the way of hospitals and education.

It was 71% by the way. (62% of Libs/Nats and 76% of ALP)

Another great statistic is that the support for this is bipartisan supporter wise, so if the Labor Party can deliver some strong and contrasting tax policy with a very heavy investment in infrastructure focusing on education and hospitals it could prove to be a decisive election winner.

The Coalition took 24 hours to paint themselves into a corner with the allocation of this surplus funds, showing how truly out of touch not only Mr Howard but the rest of the tired Coalition government is. Their die has been cast.

Labor in the box seat to deliver a series of policies that will capture the hearts and minds of Australia and I will be devastatingly disappointed if they do not take this opportunity to sink the HMAS COALITION in just the first week of the campaign.

Go for their throats Labor!

I expect like all others that Kevin will announce some major policies in the next two days in the lead up to the debate, an announcement of the magnitude that I was fantasising about would be an early knock out blow to John Howard.

With a support base of 71% overall and 76% ALP voter and 62% Lib/Nat voter support for spending that $34billion on hospitals and schools, I hope and pray that the Labor Party will deliver what it’s supporters so overwhelmingly want and what will also draw in an enormous amount of swing voters and even coalition voters.

I also am delighted with some more good news. That Kevin Rudd’s messages that “John Howard is out of touch with working familes” and that “That Australia needs new leadership” are reaching people and they are realising that it is true. Both statements received huge support in the recent Nielsen Poll attracting 60% respectively.

If I was the Coalition I wouldn’t be smiling too much over your corn flakes this Friday morning over scavenging a few poll points, there are sweeping trends and undercurrents in the political ocean of the Australian electorate….

As for me, a Labor zealot. I will be happily eating my coco pops while watching Transformers…Generation 1 of course.

Good morning everyone! Welcome to Day 5!

DONKEY: Courier Mail/Galaxy Poll (Oct 19)

The latest Galaxy Poll is out and it proves interesting reading for both parties with a strong come back from the Coalition but also bringing with it the fact that the tax cuts hasn’t seemed to have the effect the Coalition would have wanted.

Those polled illustrated an awesome desire to see that $34billion spent on education and hospitals, opening the door for the Labor Party to deliver a significantly different, social investment based tax policy. Such a policy could a decisive election winner with support for spending on hospitals and education receiving heavy support from supporters of both parties.
