The latest Morgan Poll is hot off the press!

Labor 61% Coalition 39%

It has been an interesting day in politics with revelations that Federal funding of public hospitals is being far outstripped by State contributions. Over the last 11 years of Coalition rule Federal funding for hospitals has dropped from 45% of the overall share to just 41%, while the States and Territories committment rose to 51%.

BRAD: SEATS UNDER SEIGE

I have to admit I am enjoying the constant talk of Liberal held seats being up shit creek and facing a massive Labor swing. I could read that all day for the rest of my life, nah actually I’d rather see it happen for real on Election Day. I want the government ground into the dirt!

The latest is the snobby seat of North Sydney held by that smug punce Joe Hockey is facing a huge swing to Labor even though he holds a 10 point margin. Sure it is Labor polling saying that 53% of people prefer the Labor Party in the electorate but the Liberals aren’t denying it.

There is also a tsunami of support for Labor in the Liberal seat of Grey in South Australia, sure they hold a 14 point margin, but there is a far greater swing predicted.

I didn’t realise it but John Howard was actually in MY seat of Forde! I can’t believe I missed such an opportunity. Forde is a strongly held Liberal seat, but it’s sitting MP Kay Elson is retiring, which opens the seat up for a contest! The thing is John Howard would never have visited this seat if he didn’t feel it was under threat! Great news!

Also interesting to read that the Australian Electoral Commission reports that 1.05million eligible voters are not enrolled to vote, that is out of a population of 20million! With John Howard changing the electoral rules, it is even more unlikely that these citizens will have the chance to vote.

It was pretty funny reading seeing Sheldon put on the working class hero routine. But the key point of difference between him and me, is that to Sheldon politics is a complicated and interesting game, to me it is life or death because I actually care about the country, it’s people, it’s where we are going and what we stand for. I care about the future even generations ahead and I understand we have to build the foundations today.

It’s okay Sheldon, I know you don’t have a heart, but maybe the great Wizard of Oz can give you one.

It is just a shame he can’t use his brain for goodness and not evil. It even annoys me how he refuses to make his topics all capital letters. It looks better in capital letters.

Yesterday I realised that there are actually two Kevin Rudd biographies on the market. To say that I am excited is an understatement.

Also a new study shows that more people are interested in politics these days. It also says that people don’t care about any Trafe Union involvement in the Labor Party, sighting a major shift in opinion over the last 20 years and people are far more worried about regulating big business. It also shows that there are more swing voters. The survey has been tracked back since 1987.

People endlessly whinge and whine about petrol prices, prices of food, housing affordability and so forth. Which is fair enough, there really are too many people with their fingers in the till. You give these creeps half an opportunity to exploit or deceive and they will seize it and rip every red dollar out of it.

But guess what gang?! The Liberal government has created a way for big business to thieve your money before it even gets inside your wallet!

It’s ironically called WorkChoices, the Liberals disgusting Industrial Relations reform, reform he didn’t even put forward to the people before the last election. Apparently they know what’s best for Australians even better than Australians! But they don’t just take your money, they also steal your stability, your rights and your pride.

But don’t worry, Kevin is going to rip up the laws! But he needs your vote!
